IT Data Analyst – Marketing

JOB SUMMARY:
The IT Data Analyst – Marketing is responsible for establishing a data analytics strategy and implementing data capture, performing data analysis and gathering critical insights from a wide variety of marketing resources including website, email, social media, CRM, community platform and other forms of marketing. Leveraging data and insights, the IT Data Analyst – Marketing assists in developing and implementing marketing strategies that better attract supporters and increase the performance of marketing activities. Other responsibilities including ongoing refinement of marketing execution activities based on performance, and working with internal clients to establish baseline metrics and ongoing reporting of performance of all marketing activities that impact each client.

The ideal candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, be highly organized, analytical, a problem-solver, able to manage multiple projects at one time, complete tasks in a timely manner, and be service focused. 

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Overseeing the daily functioning and health of Children’s HopeChest websites, landing pages, and other platforms as necessary, ensuring usability and uptime, and optimizing the sites for SEO, SEM, retargeting and customer experience and engagement.
  • Responsible for light coding (HTML, CSS, .Net and others) to keep web properties functioning properly and ensure they are optimized for marketing purposes.
  • Upkeep of marketing technologies including CRM, email marketing, community platform and others.
  • Ensuring websites are fully optimized and meet marketing and client objectives and metrics.
  • Managing and coordinating with third parties in the creation and implementation of new digital marketing campaigns, mobile applications, and other digital enhancements.
  • Creating and managing Bomb Bomb video email campaigns.
  • Responsible for legal compliance of websites regarding copyright laws, COPPA, PCI, anti-spam, data protection, etc.
  • Stays abreast of trends in digital marketing and communications and making recommendations for revisions and additions to existing digital platforms.
  • Overseeing website monitoring and email analytics, and proactively modifying content to enhance performance.
  • Proactively provide recommendations to leadership for optimizing campaigns and marketing channels using organic research, paid search, email and social media.
  • Create webforms in WordPress and Luminate Online.
  • Create reusable content snippets for email and donation forms.
  • Update website content and newsletters.
  • Set up new Classy campaigns including mapping information to the CRM database.
  • Marketing support in the execution of print campaigns, including the annual update.
  • Create source code tracking, Google goals, and conversion pathways for lead generation and segmentation for campaigns and newsletters.
  • Oversees and contributes to development of CRM systems and connectivity to Children’s HopeChest web pages, online communities, and sponsorship linkages.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS + EXPERIENCE

  • A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant field, or equivalent experience
  • Basic programming and site enhancement and customization
  • Experience in multiple CMS platforms including WordPress
  • Experience with databases

Travel Manager

DEPARTMENT: COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS TEAM

JOB SUMMARY:

The Travel Manager will plan and execute travel logistics for our US Church partners. Responsibilities will include working closely with the Community Partnership Manager, Church / Community Partners and Country Staff to serve the travel needs of our partners. The Travel Manager will play a leading role within the Travel Department, a subset of the Community Partnership Team.

The ideal candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills, be highly organized, able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, complete assignments in an efficient manner and be very partner/customer focused. The ability to articulate directions and provide details concerning itineraries and budgets in a confident and professional manner is key.  The ideal candidate will thrive in a team-oriented office environment and demonstrate a “can do” attitude. Must be an educator to travelers and confident communicator via phone and e-mail.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with country staff and team leaders to develop itineraries for vision and community partner visits
  • Create budgets for each team based on variable such as # of travelers / days in country / activities
  • Occasionally write travel blog posts for marketing
  • Manage travel finances: budgets, wires, expense reconciliation, etc.
  • Lead the Travel Department in communicating with all departments
  • Work alongside Community Partnership Managers (CPMs) in planning travel with partners
  • Review paperwork with travelers: applications, waivers, background checks, etc.
  • Maintain data and finance integrity
  • Register all travelers with U.S. State Department and secure traveler Insurance
  • Semi-annual travel document and policy updates
  • Provide travel guidance to employees such as visa and medical support

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree and international travel experience

Sponsor Mail Volunteer

JOB SUMMARY:

Are you interested in reading about children’s lives from all over the world? You can support Children’s HopeChest by volunteering to read through mail to, and from, our sponsors! Your time as a volunteer plays an integral part in encouraging healthy relationships between sponsors and sponsored children, and helps our organization to get mail to sponsors/sponsored children as quickly as possible.
As a Sponsor Mail Volunteer, you will be reading mail to ensure there is no problematic content. For this position you will also be stuffing and labeling envelopes and operating a postage meter.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Needs to be able to understand and follow directions easily
  • Needs to be an independent worker

TIME COMMITMENT 

  • Flexible schedule
  • Any weekday except Thursdays
  • Minimum of two hours a week (unless you have so much fun that you want to stay longer)

Donor Engagement Intern

STATUS: INTERNSHIP – PREFERRED TWO DAYS A WEEK

REPORTS TO: DONOR ENGAGEMENT DIRECTOR

LOCATION: INTERNATIONAL HEADQUARTERS OFFICE | PALMER LAKE, CO

JOB SUMMARY:
Intern to assist with donor engagement at Children’s HopeChest, a Christian nonprofit that releases the potential of vulnerable children and their communities around the globe through Community-to-Community partnership. The successful candidate will have interest in international development, orphan care, excellent research and writing skills, will be detail-oriented and organized, and will be highly relational with strong communication skills.
The ideal candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, must be highly organized, be able to manage multiple projects at one time, complete tasks in a timely manner, and must be very service-oriented. A minimum commitment of two days a week is preferred. This is an unpaid position. Internships are eligible for college credit.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with Donor Relations team to create a donor appreciation plan
  • Correspond with HopeChest sponsors, donors and potential donors via e-mail, telephone and mail to support fundraising initiatives and further HopeChest’s mission and vision
  • Manage welcome packets for new, first time donors
  • Write thank you notes and acknowledgment letters
  • Research grant and foundation opportunities
  • Research prospective institutional and individual funding sources
  • Assist with monthly donation tracking, data analysis, and monthly donor prospect research
  • Assist in donor prospect research using WealthEngine.
  • Research and lapsed donors
  • Update account information in the donor database
  • Support Donor Director and VP of Marketing
  • Research opportunities for local events or a young professionals program
