Unleash the potential of your students and vulnerable children around the world

Who Is HopeChest?

Children’s HopeChest is a Christian, nonprofit ministry that equips vulnerable children, their families, and communities to escape from the cycle of poverty. But we don’t do this alone. The only way for this to work — the only way to break the cycle of poverty and instill systemic change — is through the development and nurturing of community. We connect Christian communities in the U.S. and Canada with communities of orphaned and vulnerable children and their caretakers overseas. Our unique Community-to-Community model leverages the power of relationships to see long-term transformation occur in the lives of children and their surrounding communities. The provision of basic health and well-being, life and vocational skills, discipleship, emergency medical care, and other essentials would not be possible without dedicated individuals and communities who take the time to provide resources and  build real relationships.

Why should my school partner with HopeChest?

It is critically important for students to have a long-term view of engaging the culture and the world around them. Instilling these values and principles when they are in school sets a foundation that will last a lifetime. HopeChest has created the opportunity for schools to get students involved in sustainable, life-changing activities. Through HopeChest, students can build friendships with other children who live around the globe and learn about how other children in countries much different than theirs live their daily lives.

HopeChest has developed and refined a model that addresses the plight of the most vulnerable children in the world. And the beauty of the model is that it is only accomplished by creating sustainable relationships between communities in the U.S. and  communities in some of the most difficult places on earth.

We have a holistic, turn-key program that allows your school and students to make a difference in the lives of these children. Through the development of community, they personally grow and mature, and the communities they partner with move from basic survival, to becoming self-sustaining, to flourishing. And along the way, they build relationships that last a lifetime.

How can my school get involved (how do I get more information)?
