Upcoming 2011 Vision Trips

Join CHC on one of our Upcoming Vision Trips! Deadlines approaching!

We want to tell you about four amazing opportunities to serve the fatherless.

Vision trips are designed for pastors of churches and leaders of potential sponsoring communities. On a Vision Trip, participants visit mostly unsponsored locations for the purpose of evaluating how their church or community can become a HopeChest sponsoring community.

Our Vision Trips are a chance to get out of your bubble, to touch lives desperate for love, desperate for someone to care. Deadlines are fast approaching, so take a look at these trips and contact us if you want to know more. We pray you will join us on one of these life-changing adventures. Please note:

Cost listed includes ground costs only. This includes all food, drink, in-country transportation, lodging, security and translators. Airfare is additional.

India and Russia require individuals to have a visa which can take some time to obtain, so the deadlines for these two countries are particularly important.

Swaziland - August 29 - September 7, 2011

Land Cost: $2000.00

Purpose: To visit the orphans of Swaziland, to serve alongside HopeChest’s dedicated in-country staff, and to see what role your community can play in making life better for another. Swaziland is impoverished, full of devastating disease, and is known as the “Nation of Orphans.” It has the highest rate of HIV/AIDS in the world, and the average person only lives to around 46 years old. HopeChest and its partners on the ground work to provide food, discipleship, shelter, medicine, education, and emotional support to the children of Swaziland. You can be a part of that life-changing mission! Come with us, experience life in Swaziland, and see how your church or community can make a difference as a HopeChest sponsor!

Tentative Itinerary: CarePoints and home visits in and around Manzini, Kruger Game Drive in Nelspruit South Africa.

Deadline: July 31st - Completed application and payment of land costs for the trip due.

Uganda Vision Trip - September 22-30, 2011

Land Cost: Approximately $900.00

Purpose: To serve orphans at several sites, providing love and care through practical, spiritual, and emotional support. There are 2.7 million impoverished orphans under the age of 18 in Uganda. 1.2 million of those are due to AIDS. It’s a dire situation, but our ministry teams, sponsors and in-country staff are making a huge difference. Join us to learn how your church or community can be a regular part of HopeChest’s life-altering ministry in Uganda.

Probable Itinerary: Juna Amagara sites: Bukedea, Ogoloi, Kaygano

India - November 1-12, 2011

Land Cost: $1055.00 (excluding cost of $77.00 visa and round-trip airfare)

Purpose: This trip is designed primarily for pastors, church or community leaders interested in having their church or community sponsor our programs in India, a nation of at least 31 million orphans. It’s mind-blowing to think about the need, but change can begin with one willing servant. The Good Samaritan School began that way – with one woman teaching one slum child in her home. Her education ministry grew as more and more children flocked to her, hungry for the chance to make their lives better. Today Good Samaritan school can serve 4,400 students in its new building. HopeChest is committed to seeing this school’s full potential realized in the lives of India’s orphans. Education is a weapon against trafficking, poverty, and crime. You can be a part of reaching India this November, and you can inspire your church or community to get involved in a committed and powerful sponsorship. What are you waiting for?

Itinerary: The Good Samaritan School in New Delhi, cultural shopping and sightseeing in and around Delhi, visit to the Taj Mahal.

Deadlines: August 9^th:  Trip application and deposit of $250.00 due.

October 4^th:  Final payment due.

15 Year Anniversary Vision Trip to Russia - November 7-17, 2011

Cost: $1,800.00 + airfare

Purpose: After 15 years of dedication and service, Nadezhda Fund and HopeChest have blossomed into one of the most respected Christian ministries in Russia. Today, this ministry is a thriving network of transitional living and community resource programs spanning five regions. The Ministry Centers, Family Centers, Young Mother’s Programs, and Independent Living Centers make a critical difference for Russia’s orphans. We want you to come with us this November to meet the children you are helping, and to celebrate the staff that loves and serves our children every day. Come see what we’ve been doing in Russia, and get your church or community involved in consistent sponsorship! Together we can do so much more!
