This week, Children’s HopeChest has launched an ambitious project to provide education to over 5,000 orphaned children around the world. We’re asking each of our ministry partners to make a gift today to provide:
A gift of $45 covers a child for one semester, or $90 for an entire year.
Gugu was a widow in Swaziland…she didn’t have $45 or $90…but read about what she did for girls without school in her community. It is inspiring!
Education is a child’s greatest weapon to defeat poverty…
My heart breaks every time I see an image of a starving child. Those images of skeletal bodies and bulging eyes haunt me. You might know the feeling.
But I’ve come to find an even deeper heartbreak in this photo of an empty classroom.

It doesn’t look very dramatic. But consider this…instead of being in class, orphans are:
In fact, without education, hundreds of millions of children have no chance at reaching healthy adulthood. Without education, they will have no opportunity for employment, for microenterprise, or for success.
We fill our children’s lives with the opportunities that come from education. Today, I am asking you to help one orphan child by making a gift to Children’s HopeChest.
A gift of any size will help. $45 covers a semester of education, and $90 covers one full year.
I invite you to read more about our initiative to Change The Story for thousands of kids in our programs. Thank you for offering them a hope and a future as you become the vehicle of God’s blessing in their lives.
