Start-Up Tools

Kaberamaido CarePoint has 16 youths (7 Females & 9 Males) who have completed diverse professional skill courses and are ready to graduate. Twelve attained Vocational skill education and four pursued medical courses.

As they graduate, they will need to be provided with startup tools to help them initiate small-scale enterprises as they grow into independent adults, and also to increase their active involvement in the work environment. To achieve this project goal and objectives, a total amount of $4,248 will be required.

Poultry Project

Kaberamaido CarePoint intends to establish a poultry project at the CarePoint as an income-generating activity. The purpose is to establish a sustainable income base for the CarePoint. The poultry project is a viable income-generating project in the Kaberamaido community. The CarePoint will procure poultry layer birds for egg production, rear and sell eggs to the surrounding markets.

Goals and Objectives

Goal: Widen and promote a sustainable revenue flow base for the CarePoint.

Objectives:

  • To generate revenue for the CarePoint by 2025.
  • To establish a sustainable source of production and supply of eggs in the Kaberamaido Community by 2025.
  • To train guardians and youth in commercial poultry farming.

To achieve this project goal and objectives, a total amount of $12,005 will be required to accomplish this project.
