You can visit Uganda, Ethiopia, or both countries.
On this trip, you will be part of a small, personal group led by Ken Sparks, President and CEO of Children’s HopeChest. You will get to interact with local staff on the ground and engage directly with members of the communities we serve. This fully immersive vision trip allows you to engage, encounter, and witness transformational impact and truly innovative strategies breaking generational poverty, amidst the beauty and cultures of Ethiopia and Uganda.

- Cost for both countries: $2,993 per person + airfare of your choice (see details below)**
- Cost for Ethiopia segment only = $1,530 per person + airfare of your choice**
- Cost for Uganda segment only = $1,810 per person + airfare of your choice**
The cost of airfare is not included, and it is up to individual travelers to purchase class of service desired.
Each traveler should purchase the travel class and airline carrier of their choice for international flights between the US and Africa. For travelers going to both countries, each traveler should purchase a one-way ticket for Sunday, March 22, 2026 on Ethiopia Airlines.

Encounter Communities Being Transformed










During your visit, you’ll get to see several community projects including:
- Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs) that help people experiencing poverty build financial stability
- Agricultural and animal husbandry projects that help families break the cycle of poverty
- Income-generating activities and small businesses
- CarePoint operations and their holistic impact in the community
- Leadership Training for students of the Uganda Leadership and Entrepreneurship Development Program (UG-LEDP) and the Ethiopian Youth Development Leadership Program (YDLP)
Depart from the U.S. on March 13.
Travel from Uganda to Ethiopia ton March 22.
Return to the U.S. on March 29.

This trip will also provide a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to go on some excursions near Murchison Falls National Park, including an African Safari. These activities will take place on October 23-24.

The costs listed above are per person, and there is no discount for couples; however, please indicate if you would like to room together during the trip. Costs include all in-country ground expenses.* Costs do not include international airfare. **

A non-refundable deposit of $500 per person is due at the time of registration. A final payment for remaining ground costs is due by February 6, 2026.
*Ground expenses include lodging, food, in-country transportation, safari, and Murchison Falls. Expenses are an estimate, and final price may change as trip details are finalized.
