I would say that my intention going into this is to share an experience with those who I am running alongside, and to be a part of a team that is running for a cause that I believe in. This is also a special opportunity to support something that is larger than the event itself. HopeChest does great work in making the world a better place, specifically for youth; and so if all I have to do is run to potentially make a positive impact on the organization, then count me in!
