About the Project

The Ukro Animal Husbandry Farm at the Ukro CarePoint will be a sustainable economic empowerment initiative, creating economic opportunities for the families of CarePoint children in Hawassa City. This project will be carried out in two phases and is focused on creating job opportunities and financial viability for local stakeholders through profit-sharing and community.

From this Animal Husbandry Farm project, families will have access to milk products and become
farm shareholders; hence, they will receive dividends from the farm’s profit. However, the
CarePoint leadership team will be the main owner of the farm since this project is planned to ensure
the sustainability of the CarePoints and facilitate the CarePoint graduation.

About the Partnership

Frontline Community Church has partnered with Children’s HopeChest at Ukro CarePoint in Ethiopia since 2015.

Ukro CarePoint is located approximately 170 miles south of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia’s capital. The community is resilient and hardworking, though many families face challenges such as poverty, HIV/AIDS, and limited access to education and basic necessities.

In partnership with Frontline Community Church, Ukro CarePoint provides a safe and welcoming space where children and families can access programs that support education, leadership development, nutrition, health, and spiritual growth. Through these programs, children build on their strengths, families gain practical tools to thrive, and the community grows stronger.

By connecting communities, this partnership transforms lives, builds lasting relationships, and empowers local leaders to sustain the CarePoint’s mission for generations.
