Join us June 24-29, 2026 for a Vision Trip to Guatemala!
Join us to see, for yourself, the power and innovation of the HopeChest model in action amidst the beauty and culture of Guatemala!
This one-week, fully immersive, vision trip allows you to engage, encounter, and witness the transformational impact of the HopeChest model in action, up-close, and personal.
You will be part of a small, personal group led by Rachel Andrews, Vice President of International Operations, and Maddie Schwarz, Grants and Constituent Care Specialist, and experience an extraordinary trip.
On this journey, you’ll spend time with our local staff, visit communities with which we partner, and see firsthand how lives are being impacted through community development efforts—like the new chicken co-op that recently opened a retail store.
You’ll also meet students from the HopeChest Guatemala Leadership Academy and have the special opportunity to attend the Challenge event, where they present their entrepreneurial ideas in a competition for investment to start their own small businessses and launch their careers. It’s a powerful moment of encouragement and celebration you won’t forget.

What is included in this cost? This cost includes all in-country expenses (food, lodging, and in-country transportation) as well as costs related to the cultural excursions on June 28.
What is not included in this cost? The cost of airfare is not included, and it is up to individual travelers to purchase class of service desired. Any optional self-selected excursions are at the travelers discretion and additional cost.

Encounter Communities Being Transformed
This trip will give you an opportunity to engage with the power of compassion in action – firsthand. During your visit, you’ll get to see several community projects in realtime including:
- CarePoint operations and their holistic impact on communities of El Oreganal and Pueblo Modelo
- Local savings groups that help people experiencing poverty build financial stability
- Home visits of families who reside in Guatemalan communities
- Regional sewing co-op initiatives and other small businesses
- Interactions with individual leaders who recently graduated from GLA
- See The Challenge business investment competition first hand!
This trip will also give you an opportunity to experience a coffee tour or volcano hiking, as well as a tour of the historic Las Capuchinas Convent during our cultural experience time in Antigua on Sunday, June 28.
Experience the Beauty of Guatemala
Enjoy more of the Guatemalan culture during your excursion to Antigua on Sunday, June 28. In this UNESCO World Heritage city, you will be invited to explore the charming cobblestone streets, vibrant colonial architecture, and lively local markets. You’ll wander through quaint shops, see historical landmarks, enjoy a delicious Guatemalan coffee tour or hike a volcano, and visit the historic Las Capuchinas convent.

Price of the trip = $1,259 per person
A non-refundable deposit of $500 is due at the time of registration.
Final payment for remaining ground costs is due by May 24, 2026.
