JOB SUMMARY:
Children’s HopeChest is seeking a detail-oriented, mission-driven Development Coordinator to join our Development Team. This role exists to serve entry-level donors and ensure the engine of our fundraising operation runs smoothly — freeing our gift officers and senior leaders to focus on high-value donor relationships and strategy. The ideal candidate is highly organized, a strong communicator, and eager to learn the craft of nonprofit fundraising from the ground up. This is an excellent entry point for someone who wants to grow into a major gifts or development strategy career in the nonprofit sector.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Annual Fund Program Execution (30%): Execute all annual fund campaigns under the strategic direction of the VP of Development, including:
- Year-end giving campaign
- Mid-year giving campaign
- All other campaign-driven donor outreach
- Oversee email lists, schedule sends, and track campaign performance metrics in coordination with the marketing dept.
- Pull post-campaign reports and summarize results for team review
- Maintain campaign calendars and ensure all deadlines are met
Donor Engagement & Stewardship (25%):
- Conduct outbound calls to all sponsors giving to two or more children at partnership launches, ensuring a warm, mission-aligned first touchpoint
- Manage donor acknowlegement process for entry-level donors — ensuring timely, accurate, and personalized thank-you letters and gift receipts
- Support cultivation touchpoints for donors in partnership with Gift Officers and VP of Development
- Assist with donor communications that reinforce mission connection and inspire continued support
Event Planning & Execution (30%):
- Coordinate logistics for donor events, including point-of-entry events, regional engagement events, and cutivation gatherings
- Manage vendor relationships, venue coordination, RSVPs, communications, and day-of execution
- Support donor vision trip logistics in coordination with Gift Officers — including itineraries, pre/post-trip donor communications, and in-country partner coordination
- Track event attendance, engagement, and follow-up actions in the CRM
Proposal & Communications Support (15%):
- Draft donor proposals, meeting briefs, and cultivation materials for the VP of Development and Gift Officers
- Assist in developing donor-facing materials that communicate mission impact
- Support the HopeChest Ambassadors (P2P) Program with onboarding coordination, communications, and results tracking
OTHER DUTIES
This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. The Development Coordinator may be required to perform other related duties as assigned by the VP of Development in order to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 0-2 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, development operations, communications, or a related field; internship or volunteer experience welcomed
- Strong written and verbal communication skills — capable of drafting clear, compelling donor-facing content
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with a donor CRM (e.g., Salesforce) a plus
- Self-starter who takes initiative and follows through with minimal supervision
- Mature Christian faith, exhibiting a consistent witness for Jesus Christ
- Exceptionally high level of confidentiality, honesty, and integrity

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
The position requires occasional travel, primarily domestic, to support donor events and team initiatives. Travel may represent approximately 5-10% of the total work schedule. All travel will be in compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.

JOB SUMMARY:
We’re seeking a mission-driven content storyteller, with a deep Christian faith who can translate complex ideas into emotionally resonant narratives that educate, inspire, and build trust. You’ll be responsible for developing content that centers on the human experience—whether it’s a human story or brand campaign. Your north star is empathy, and your superpower is creativity.
The Manager, Content, Social & Video Strategy will lead the strategy, development, and execution of compelling storytelling and content creation across all channels. You will lead content strategy, content calendar, and content development. You will also be responsible for social media community management and influencer partnerships. This role requires strategic thinking and hands-on execution, driving the creative direction while also creating and executing brand storytelling across channels.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and manage a cross-channel content strategy, including but not limited to (social, blog, video, web, email) that supports brand and organizational goals.
- Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to craft messaging for leadership and various audiences while maintaining a consistent brand voice and adapting tone appropriately for each audience and channel.
- Lead content-related project management across the marketing team, develop creative briefs, manage content calendar, ensuring alignment on timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional collaboration for campaigns and storytelling initiatives.
- Optimize content for SEO, AEO, engagement, and shareability.
- Contribute and participate in special events such as the Global Partner Conference and other development events.
- Oversee full video production pipeline including creative direction, scripting, editing and managing videographer.
- Produce in-house: presentations, branded templates, event and other printed collateral, web, email, social and short form video and reels content.
- Own the day-to-day community management for all social media platforms, including planning, creating and publishing social content (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook etc.).
- Develop influencer strategy including managing influencer relations, content development and strategic use of their content.
