JOB SUMMARY:

We’re seeking a mission-driven content storyteller, with a deep Christian faith who can translate complex ideas into emotionally resonant narratives that educate, inspire, and build trust. You’ll be responsible for developing content that centers on the human experience—whether it’s a human story or brand campaign. Your north star is empathy, and your superpower is creativity.

The ManagerContent, Social & Video Strategy will lead the strategy, development, and execution of compelling storytelling and content creation across all channels. You will lead content strategy, content calendar, and content development.  You will also be responsible for social media community management and influencer partnerships. This role requires strategic thinking and hands-on execution, driving the creative direction while also creating and executing brand storytelling across channels. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and manage a cross-channel content strategy, including but not limited to (social, blog, video, web, email) that supports brand and organizational goals.
  • Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to craft messaging for leadership and various audiences while maintaining a consistent brand voice and adapting tone appropriately for each audience and channel.
  • Lead content-related project management across the marketing team, develop creative briefs, manage content calendar, ensuring alignment on timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional collaboration for campaigns and storytelling initiatives.
  • Optimize content for SEO, AEO, engagement, and shareability.
  • Contribute and participate in special events such as the Global Partner Conference and other development events.
  • Oversee full video production pipeline including creative direction, scripting, editing and managing videographer.
  • Produce in-house: presentations, branded templates, event and other printed collateral, web, email, social and short form video and reels content.
  • Own the day-to-day community management for all social media platforms, including planning, creating and publishing social content (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook etc.).
  • Develop influencer strategy including managing influencer relations, content development and strategic use of their content.

TOOLS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Project Management Tools
  • Social media platforms (Meta Suite, TikTok, X, YouTube, LinkedIn)
  • Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or other content tools
  • Social media scheduling and analytics tools

  • Strong writing skills, including short-form copywriting skills, website copy, social media copy, and press releases (preferred, not required), with the ability to flex across channels and style to reflect the brand voice

  • Experience leading social community management, social content publishing, and using social analytics tools

  • Proven track record of driving content strategy, developing multi-channel content, including brief creation, content creation and execution of compelling storytelling that captures the hearts, and minds of your key audience

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

The position will not include travel as a regular part of the job expectations. Limited international travel to countries where we operate for content capture.

Internships and Volunteer Opportunities

JOB SUMMARY: 

The Grants Team Volunteer will play a vital role in supporting HopeChest’s mission by assisting in the acquisition of grant funding to sustain and expand our programs and services. As part of the Grants Team, you will contribute your skills and expertise to research funding opportunities, draft compelling grant proposals, and help secure financial support from foundations, government agencies, and other grant-making organizations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Research potential grant opportunities aligned with the organization’s mission and goals.
  • Assist in drafting compelling grant proposals, including narrative sections, budgets, and supporting documents.
  • Collaborate with team members to gather necessary information and data for grant applications.
  • Conduct thorough reviews and edits of grant proposals to ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with funder guidelines.
  • Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance grant writing skills and stay updated on best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent research and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Prior experience in grant writing or nonprofit fundraising (preferred but not required).

The Grant Writing Intern position presents a meaningful opportunity to use your copywriting skills, while gaining hands-on experience in nonprofit grant-writing and researching. (This is an intern position. There will be no compensation or pay with this position.)

The Social Media Intern position presents a meaningful opportunity to use your marketing, storytelling, and graphic design skills while gaining hands-on experience. (This is an intern position. There will be no compensation or pay with this position.)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Daily engagement with followers and partners through “likes” and comments on posts relevant to our mission
  • Actively engaging with hashtags HopeChest uses
  • Creating platform-specific content for each of HopeChest’s platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Pinterest)
  • Reaching out to partners who are traveling or following them to repost their content
  • Finding relevant content on other nonprofit or news sites for us to share
  • Turning quotes relevant to HopeChest’s mission into compelling graphics
  • Making “bundles” of supporting social media posts for Board Members / HopeChest Partnership Leaders / travelers
  • Keeping in touch with social media trends
  • Creating library of graphics for future social media use
  • Using social media analytics to suggest decisions on future social posts

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • A degree in (or in process) in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or similar area 
  • Experience using and knowledge of most social media platforms (especially Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter)
