Join us October 11-26 for a Vision Trip to Ethiopia and Uganda!

Join us to see, for yourself, the power and innovation of the HopeChest model in action!  On this trip, you will be part of a small, personal group led by Ken Sparks, President and CEO of Children’s HopeChest. You will get to interact with local staff on the ground and engage directly with members of the communities we serve. This fully immersive vision trip allows you to engage, encounter, and witness transformational impact and truly innovative strategies breaking generational poverty, amidst the beauty and cultures of Ethiopia and Uganda.

Children’s HopeChest is pioneering sustainable development projects through our CarePoint model that we believe is the future for nonprofit engagement. We are thrilled to be on the frontlines of this effort to empower local communities with the tools, infrastructure, and resources they need to break the cycle of poverty and build a better future. Rather than just hearing about the work, YOU will get to be on the ground and meet the people who are actively involved in transforming their communities with your help.

Encounter Communities Being Transformed

During your visit, you’ll get to see several community projects including:

  • Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs) that help people experiencing poverty build financial stability
  • Agricultural and animal husbandry projects that help families break the cycle of poverty
  • Income-generating activities and small businesses
  • CarePoint operations and their holistic impact in the community
  • Leadership Training for students of the Uganda Leadership and Entrepreneurship Development Program (UG-LEDP) and the Ethiopian Youth Development Leadership Program (YDLP)

Depart from the U.S. on October 11.
Travel from Ethiopia to Uganda on October 18.
Return to the U.S. on October 26.

This trip will also provide a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to go on some excursions near Murchison Falls National Park, including an African Safari. These activities will take place on October 18-19.

Cost for Ethiopia segment only = $1,530 per person + airfare of your choice**
Cost for Uganda segment only = $1,600

The costs listed above are per person, and there is no discount for couples; however, please indicate if you would like to room together during the trip. Costs include all in-country ground expenses.*

Costs do not include international airfare. Please purchase the travel class and airfare of your choice on your own.**

A non-refundable deposit of $500 per person is due at the time of registration. A final payment for remaining ground costs is due by September 11, 2025.

*Ground expenses include lodging, food, in-country transportation, safari, and Murchison Falls. Expenses are an estimate, and final price may change as trip details are finalized.
