JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and faith-driven leader to serve as our new Vice President of Marketing. Reporting to the CEO and serving on the Executive Team, this newly created role will reimagine and lead HopeChest’s brand, communications, and audience growth strategies. 

This is more than a marketing role—it’s a leadership opportunity to shape how we  communicate our mission and impact to inspire deeper relationships with donors,  partners, and communities around the world.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Brand & Story Leadership: Define and elevate the HopeChest brand across all channels and touchpoints, ensuring it reflects our mission and values with clarity and inspiration.
  • Strategic Marketing Planning: Lead the creation and execution of an integrated marketing and communications strategy that fuels growth, deepens engagement, and drives organizational goals.
  • Audience Growth & Engagement: Develop initiatives that expand our reach to new audiences (individuals, churches, corporate and community partners) and deepen connection with existing stakeholders.
  • Support for Revenue & Partnership Growth: Collaborate with Development, Strategic Partnerships, and soon to be added Business Partnerships to ensure marketing efforts directly support fundraising campaigns, donor  acquisition, and partner engagement. 
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the marketing team, cultivating a high-performance culture rooted in creativity, collaboration, and purpose. 
  • Manage Execution: Oversee all marketing campaigns, channels and content strategy. Leveraging tools such as social media, storytelling, SEO, events, and email/text communication this role  will direct HopeChest’s marketing investment to meet key objectives. Define and track results to measure impact and ensure continuous improvement. 
  • Media & PR:  Serve as a spokesperson and lead outreach to press, influencers, and public platforms to grow visibility and influence.

The Social Media Intern position presents a meaningful opportunity to use your marketing, storytelling, and graphic design skills while gaining hands-on experience. (This is an intern position. There will be no compensation or pay with this position.)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Daily engagement with followers and partners through “likes” and comments on posts relevant to our mission
  • Actively engaging with hashtags HopeChest uses
  • Creating platform-specific content for each of HopeChest’s platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Pinterest)
  • Reaching out to partners who are traveling or following them to repost their content
  • Finding relevant content on other nonprofit or news sites for us to share
  • Turning quotes relevant to HopeChest’s mission into compelling graphics
  • Making “bundles” of supporting social media posts for Board Members / HopeChest Partnership Leaders / travelers
  • Keeping in touch with social media trends
  • Creating library of graphics for future social media use
  • Using social media analytics to suggest decisions on future social posts

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • A degree in (or in process) in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or similar area 
  • Experience using and knowledge of most social media platforms (especially Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter)
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop
  • Able to express ideas clearly, effectively, and persuasively

The Grant Writing Intern position presents a meaningful opportunity to use your copywriting skills, while gaining hands-on experience in nonprofit grant-writing and researching. (This is an intern position. There will be no compensation or pay with this position.)
