JOB SUMMARY The Sponsorship and Travel Manager will plan and execute partner visit logistics for our U.S. partners to their CarePoint Community. Additionally, they will provide sponsorship support for Community Partnership Managers. Responsibilities will include working closely with Community Partnership Managers, church/community partners and in-country staff to serve the travel and sponsorship needs of our partners.

The ideal candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills, be a self-starter and pro-active, be highly organized, able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, complete assignments in an efficient manner, and be partner/customer focused. The ability to articulate directions and provide details concerning itineraries and budgets in a confident and professional manner is essential. Must be an educator to travelers and sponsors and a confident and effective communicator via phone, video-conference, and email.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Partner Visits

  • Work with in-country staff and team leaders to develop itineraries for Vision Trips and Community Partner Visits
  • Create budget invoices for each team based on variables such as number of travelers/days in country/activities which are determined through our standardized trip budget process.
  • Write travel blog posts for marketing as requested
  • Manage travel finances: budgets, wires, expense reconciliation, etc.
  • Lead the Travel Department in communicating with all departments
  • Work alongside Community Partnership Managers (CPMs) in planning travel with partners
  • Review paperwork with travelers: applications, waivers, background checks, etc.
  • Maintain data and finance integrity
  • Register all travelers with U.S. State Department and secure traveler Insurance
  • Semi-annual updates to travel documents and policies
  • Provide travel guidance to employees such as visa and medical support
  • Provide webinars and trainings for our Partner Visit Experience to our Partners

Sponsorship Manager

  • Receive/make calls on updated payment information.
  • Run and maintain updated sponsorship lists and reports for country staff and HopeChest Partner Leaders (HPL’s)
  • Send out expired credit card lists to HPL’s
  • Facilitate specific sponsor questions and requests with appropriate country staff
  • Provide logistical and administrative support to IT and CPM’s for Partner Launches
  • Provide a support role to Partner Sponsor pushes.
  • Facilitate and process with CPM/IT and Country staff the annual child update process
  • Process email communication from sponsor to children with our country staff. (Review, send, record)
  • Become familiar with CarePoints via Salesforce reporting and assist with report creation and distribution to sponsors and partners as requested.

JOB SUMMARY
The Technical Marketing Specialist will report to the Director of Marketing and will be responsible for all technical aspects of the marketing team, including website development and email automation. This person will ensure platforms are integrated correctly, including the content library system containing in-country content, and report on the performance of marketing initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Website Development

  • Implement daily website content updates on two websites—hopechest.org and greatercalling.com
  • Create and execute a plan to improve overall SEO ranking for both sites, including backlinks, clean URL links, meta titles, meta descriptions, etc. Ensure SEO best-practices are followed as new pages are created on both sites
  • Develop automatically-displayed web content as needed

Email and Marketing Automation

  • Review email marketing strategy, and provide recommendations for improvements
  • Refresh and build email templates as needed
  • Execute multiple versions of marketing pieces for different audience segments and for A/B testing, as dictated by strategy
  • Build and maintain various marketing automations

Audio and Video Editing

  • Edit audio from various sources into final podcast episodes (monthly)

Google Ad Grants

JOB SUMMARY The Controller position is accountable for the general accounting and financial reporting operations of the organization, to include all financial services, A/R and A/P; insurance activities; the production of regular and timely periodic financial reports; maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to ensure that organization assets are adequately safeguarded and organizational risk is mitigated; enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results; and ensure that reported results comply with financial policies and generally accepted accounting principles and/or international financial reporting standards. KEY JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Owns responsibility for the maintenance and improvement of an organizational structure and financial database adequate for achieving the department’s goals and objectives

JOB SUMMARY
The Director of Community Partnerships is the leader of the Community Partnership Team (CPT). The CPT is the primary contact between selected U.S.-based church/connect community partners and international CarePoints. In addition to managing child sponsorship/Friendship Model, the CPT is also responsible for facilitating virtual and in-person visits or experiences to their partnered CarePoints and potential CarePoints.

This position will provide leadership, strategic direction, and directly manage and oversee the Community Partnership Managers (CPMs) and Sponsorship and Travel Managers (STMs). The Director will track and report all CPT reporting metrics, including team and organizational goals and objectives, to the VP of International Operations and the Executive Leadership Team (ELT). Additionally, this position will act as the point person of escalation in helping to handle delicate partner-related issues.

The position may also assume a portfolio of partners to maintain duties as assigned, depending on workload.

JOB SUMMARY The Community Partnership Manager (CPM) is the primary contact between selected U.S.-based church/connect community partners and international CarePoints. Primary responsibilities include day-to-day facilitation of relationships and Development Plan (DP) objectives between partnered communities. Key responsibilities include on-going and regular interface with HopeChest in-country personnel as the DP is executed for each assigned CarePoint; staying intimately aware of assigned CarePoint activities and DP progress; advancing the DP with the in- country staff and U.S. partnered community; proactive brainstorming, coaching, training, problem solving and planning with partners and in-country staff; regular reporting, communication and coaching to the HopeChest Partnership Leaders (HPL) and their community in efforts to maintain and increase sponsorship levels and advance the DP.

The ideal candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, project management skills and mind-set, an outgoing and engaging personality, and must be very customer-focused. International experience is favorable.

JOB SUMMARY: 

Are you seeking to gain experience in your field? Are you passionate about eliminating the cycle of poverty in some of the most vulnerable communities around the world? 

The Social Media Intern position presents a meaningful opportunity to use your marketing, storytelling, and graphic design skills while gaining hands-on experience. (This is an intern position. There will be no compensation or pay with this position.)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Daily engagement with followers and partners through “likes” and comments on posts relevant to our mission
  • Actively engaging with hashtags HopeChest uses
  • Creating platform-specific content for each of HopeChest’s platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Pinterest)
  • Reaching out to partners who are traveling or following them to repost their content
  • Finding relevant content on other nonprofit or news sites for us to share
  • Turning quotes relevant to HopeChest’s mission into compelling graphics
  • Making “bundles” of supporting social media posts for Board Members / HopeChest Partnership Leaders / travelers
  • Keeping in touch with social media trends
  • Creating library of graphics for future social media use
  • Using social media analytics to suggest decisions on future social posts

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • A degree in (or in process) in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or similar area 
  • Experience using and knowledge of most social media platforms (especially Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter)
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop
  • Able to express ideas clearly, effectively, and persuasively
  • Strong grasp on grammar and excellent storytelling and writing skills
  • Strong research skills, and analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Able to work efficiently and effectively in a team-based environment
  • Possess the skills of being organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and professional

JOB SUMMARY: Are you interested in reading about children’s lives from all over the world? You can support Children’s HopeChest by volunteering to read through mail to, and from, our sponsors! You’r time as a volunteer plays an integral part in encouraging healthy relationships between sponsors and sponsored children, and helps our organization to get mail to sponsors/sponsored children as quickly as possible.

As a Sponsor Mail Volunteer, you will be reading mail to ensure there is no problematic content. For this position you will also be stuffing and labeling envelopes and operating a postage meter.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Needs to be able to understand and follow directions easily
  • Needs to be an independent worker

TIME COMMITMENT

  • Flexible schedule
  • Any weekday except Thursdays
  • Minimum of two hours a week (unless you have so much fun that you want to stay longer)

The Grant Writing Intern position presents a meaningful opportunity to use your copywriting skills, while gaining hands-on experience in nonprofit grant-writing and researching. (This is an intern position. There will be no compensation or pay with this position.)

Children’s HopeChest exists to glorify God by releasing the potential of orphaned and impoverished children and their communities. We do this through partnerships that cultivate sustainable two-way transformation.

Specifically, we engage communities in long-term partnerships that:

  • Address the complex causes of poverty, including material, spiritual, emotional, social, economic, and educational needs.
