Centro de Alcance Pinula CarePoint is located in the town of Santa Catarina Pinula in Guatemala, approximately 15 km east of Guatemala City. The CarePoint serves a vibrant community where families are hardworking and resourceful, though many face challenges such as low and inconsistent income, broken homes, limited educational opportunities, and crowded living conditions.
In partnership with Christ Followers For Change, Centro de Alcance Pinula CarePoint has provided a safe and welcoming space where children and families have accessed programs that supported education, adult literacy, leadership development, health, and spiritual growth. Through these programs, children built on their strengths, families gained practical tools to thrive, and the community has grown stronger.
Centro de Alcance Pinula CarePoint is now moving toward graduation. From the very beginning, the goal of HopeChest’s partnership with each CarePoint has been clear: to equip communities with the tools, resources, and leadership they need to thrive on their own terms. Graduation does not mean challenges disappear. Rather, it marks a powerful shift—where those challenges are met with confidence, local leadership, and sustainable resources that come from within.
Along the way, something remarkable happens: families become more self-sufficient, youth and adults step into leadership, and the community begins to take full ownership of its future. Years of partnership have built the systems, resilience, and vision needed for this community-based organization to thrive independently.

In this final phase, children and youth are no longer available for sponsorship, but your support remains vital to help the community cross the finish line. You can continue to make an impact by contributing to one of the projects below or by becoming a CarePoint Champion through a recurring gift.
After checkout, you will be directed to a form where you may either upload or capture a photo of yourself. This photo will be used at the launch event at the CarePoint where the children in the program will select their “HopeChest Friend”.
