Chicacao CarePoint is located in the town of Chicacao in southwestern Guatemala, about 140 km west of Guatemala City. Chicacao is known for its thriving agricultural economy, producing coffee, lemons, plantains, and bananas. Families here are hardworking and resourceful, though many face challenges such as limited access to education, healthcare, and economic opportunities.
In partnership with Freshwater Community Church, Chicacao CarePoint provides a safe and welcoming space where children and families can access programs that support education, leadership development, nutrition, health, and spiritual growth. Through these programs, children build on their strengths, families gain practical tools to thrive, and the community grows stronger.
