Holeta CarePoint is located approximately thirty miles west of the capital city, Addis Ababa.
Within this small rural community, poor farming systems have contributed to lack of nutrition. Unemployment continues to rise as families and individuals migrate to Holeta without work available. Many within the community work as daily labors, providing a meager income that is barely enough to sustain their families. Furthermore, common living conditions are congested and desperate as families cram into small rented homes that are in dire need of repairing.
In addition to these risk factors, the number of orphaned children in the area continues to increase due to the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Education is a far reach for orphaned children, as well as children whose parents cannot afford a basic uniform or school supplies required at government schools.
With the partnership of Potter’s Clay Fellowship, the children at Holeta CarePoint have the opportunity to grow physically, spiritually, and emotionally while the Potter’s Clay Fellowship community also experiences positive transformation!
