Sebata Genet CarePoint (formerly Kind Hearts) is located in the town of Sebeta, just outside of Addis Ababa.
The CarePoint is located on a large piece of property that has rivers running on both sides of it. These rivers meet at the corner of the property – a tannery pollutes one river and the other is polluted by a distillery. The water is toxic, and some of the children must walk through it to get to school each day. During the rainy season, the river floods, causing significant challenges for the children, staff, and community. Currently, there are approximately 100 children enrolled at Sebata Genet who are being served through partnership.
Sebata Genet was created to promote the survival, protection, and development of impoverished children and their families in the community, and therefore, throughout Ethiopia. With the partnership of the Micah and Casey Ault Connect Community, the children at Sebata Genet CarePoint have the opportunity to grow physically, spiritually, and emotionally while the Micah and Casey Ault Connect Community also experiences positive transformation!
