Many children in the Kirov region of Russia have experienced loss, abandonment, neglect, abuse, and family degeneration. Many of these children are removed from their homes by the government and placed in orphanages like Spitchino.
At Spitchino Orphanage, the children’s basic needs are cared for such as healthcare, food, and clothing. In addition, the children have access to a quality education, life skills training, discipleship, recreational activities, and mentorship. Through these programs and the support of the nurturing discipleship staff, children are given the opportunity to develop into independent and successful adults so that the vicious cycles of abandonment and substance abuse are broken.
With the partnership of oint Washington UMC , the children at Spitchino Orphanage have the opportunity to grow physically, spiritually, and emotionally while the Point Washington UMC community also experiences positive transformation!
