The Ukro Animal Husbandry Farm at the Ukro CarePoint will be a sustainable economic empowerment initiative, creating economic opportunities for the
families of CarePoint children in Hawassa City. This project will be carried out in two phases and is
focused on creating job opportunities and financial viability for local stakeholders through profit-
sharing and a Community.

From this Animal Husbandry Farm project, families will have access to milk products and become
farm shareholders; hence, they will receive dividends from the farm’s profit. However, the
CarePoint leadership team will be the main owner of the farm since this project is planned to ensure
the sustainability of the CarePoints and facilitate the CarePoint graduation.
