Everyone entering or leaving Guatemala completes a short online declaration. Here’s when to do it and how to get it done. The Declaración Jurada Regional de Viajero (DJRV)  is Guatemala’s official traveler declaration — a quick customs and immigration form the whole team fills out online. It only takes a few minutes, and completing it ahead of time keeps your arrival and departure moving smoothly

You’ll complete it TWICE

• Entering Guatemala: Complete one declaration in the 24–72 hours before your outbound flight.
• Leaving Guatemala. Complete a separate declaration in the 24–72 hours before your return flight home.

When to complete it

• 24–72 hours before you enter, and again before you leave. Fill out your declaration within this window before each flight — not earlier than three days out, and not less than 24 hours before you fly. This gives you a buffer to fix any typos and arrive with everything ready.

What you’ll need

1. An active email address: your completed declaration and QR code are sent there to show at the airport.
2. Your passport: include your passport number and personal details exactly as printed.
3. Your flight information: airline and flight number for the trip you’re declaring.
