Murole CarePoint is located in Kabale, a city in southwestern Uganda, about 420 km from the capital, Kampala. The district is one of Uganda’s more densely populated areas and is located near the border with Rwanda.
The community is resilient and hardworking, though many families face challenges such as rising HIV/AIDS rates, large numbers of orphaned and vulnerable children, and limited resources to care for them all.
In partnership with the Jason Jones Connect Community, Murole CarePoint has provided a safe and welcoming space where children and families have accessed programs that support education, leadership development, nutrition, health, and spiritual growth. Through these programs, children built on their strengths, families gained practical tools to thrive, and the community has grown stronger.
Murole CarePoint is now moving toward graduation. From the very beginning, the goal of HopeChest’s partnership with each CarePoint has been clear: to equip communities with the tools, resources, and leadership they need to thrive on their own terms. Graduation does not mean challenges disappear. Rather, it marks a powerful shift—where those challenges are met with confidence, local leadership, and sustainable resources that come from within.
Along the way, something remarkable happens: families become more self-sufficient, youth and adults step into leadership, and the community begins to take full ownership of its future. Years of partnership have built the systems, resilience, and vision needed for this community-based organization to thrive independently.
