This is What Hope Builds

In Sidama, Ethiopia, Beyene Wako’s small plot of land offered little promise. Years of dry soil and uncertain harvests left his family struggling to survive.

Everything changed when one of his sons joined a local CarePoint, a place where children find education, nourishment, and belonging. One child’s hope soon became transformation for an entire family.

Through CarePoint programs, Beyene learned modern irrigation, crop rotation, and long-term farm planning. Today, his land yields three to four harvests each year. His children attend school consistently. His family’s income has grown nearly 8,000 percent. Dozens of neighbors are following his lead, spreading practical, tangible, life-changing hope throughout the community.
