About the Project
We are raising funds to increase the Ceiba Blanca CarePoint’s educational capacity by constructing and equipping an additional classroom at the Community Center. This classroom will enable more children to participate in programs within a safe, structured, and age-appropriate learning environment.
This secure, purpose-built space will safeguard children’s physical well-being while fostering a welcoming and supportive environment for learning, growth, and community engagement. It will also improve the quality of education by providing durable, well-ventilated, and weather-resistant facilities that support student focus, comfort, and consistent program delivery year-round.
We have a goal to raise $10,000 through the Amway River Bank Run opportunity. We would love to have at least 20 people represent Team Ceiba Blanca, running/walking on May 9th and each raising $500. You can also be part of what God is doing by making a one-time donation toward this project. The overall costs to build the classroom is just over $21,000, and every donation helps!
About the Partnership
Cornerstone Church has partnered with Children’s HopeChest at Ceiba Blanca CarePoint in Guatemala since 2019.
Ceiba Blanca CarePoint is located in the small rural village of Ceiba Blanca in southwestern Guatemala, approximately 140 km southwest of Guatemala City. Families are hardworking and resourceful, drawing on the community’s strong social bonds and rich cultural traditions, though many face challenges like limited education opportunities, inconsistent income, and food insecurity.
In partnership with Cornerstone Church, Ceiba Blanca CarePoint provides a safe and welcoming space where children and families can access programs that support education, leadership development, nutrition, health, and spiritual growth. Through these programs, children build on their strengths, families gain practical tools to thrive, and the community grows stronger.
By connecting communities, this partnership transforms lives, builds lasting relationships, and empowers local leaders to sustain the CarePoint’s mission for generations.
