We currently work in Ethiopia, Guatemala, India, Moldova, Russia, Swaziland/Eswatini, Uganda, and Kenya. To ensure that our involvement is meaningful, relevant, and fruitful, we’ve developed a formal criteria for determining the specific countries and regions in which we work. Factors we consider include:
- An existing community that is looking to be a partner in creating sustainable transformation
- Local leaders who have a vision for their community and see how HopeChest could help
- Identifiable issues that our model can help improve
- Opportunities for creating real change without doing harm
- In-country political stability and safety
