Bheveni is located in the rural community of Engculwini in the center of Eswatini. Though Eswatini is a small country, it has the highest rate of HIV/AIDS in the world. A local pastor took hold of a vision from the Lord to feed and care for the orphaned children in the area by establishing eight different CarePoints among the 10,000 people in his community. As is customary, he went to the chief asking permission to carry out the vision and for eight plots of land to be designated for this purpose. The chief agreed to the vision and now Bheveni is one of the eight CarePoints that were created.
Today there are approximately 130 children receiving care at Bheveni. Children line up with their plastic bowls in hand, playful smiles on their faces, eager to enjoy the food they receive and the care provided by the “gogos” (grandmothers) and the discipleship team.
With the partnership of the Brower Connect Community, the children at Bheveni CarePoint have the opportunity to grow physically, spiritually, and emotionally while the Brower Connect Community also experiences positive transformation!
