Murole CarePoint

Murole CarePoint is located in Kabale, a city in the southwestern part of Uganda and is 420 km from the capital city, Kampala. The district of Kabale is one of the more densely populated districts of Uganda and is located in one of the sub counties that neighbor Rwanda.

There is a range of issues in this region, the most prevalent being the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Infrastructure projects and an expanded lumber industry have drawn many workers from the local area and neighboring districts. This influx has lead to a 30% increase in HIV/AIDS infections over the past five years, leading to an increase in orphaned and vulnerable children due to high mortality rates resulting from the virus. These children often live with relatives or neighbors, but there are not enough adults, nor economic prosperity, to care for all the children.

With the partnership of Jason Jones Connect Community, the children at Murole CarePoint have the opportunity to grow physically, spiritually, and emotionally while the Jason Jones Connect Community also experiences positive transformation!

Empower a Child at Murole

Empowering a child is one of the most personal ways that you can make an impact on global poverty. It is more than providing for their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. When you sponsor a child, you build a relationship that shows that child they are valuable, worth loving, and worth investing in.

Your sponsorship is the starting point of a journey that equips vulnerable children, their families, and their communities to create sustainable transformation. When you sponsor a child with HopeChest, you are not just supporting one child — you are helping transform entire communities.

Annet, a Selfless Single-Mother of 6 Is a Blessing to Nabukalu CarePoint

Simon Okello / May 9, 2020

In preparation of celebrating Mother’s Day tomorrow, we’d like to share the story of Annet, a selfless, single-mother of six. Learn how Annet fed children at Nabukalu CarePoint for a month with her own resources, how her daughter’s mysterious illness led her to embrace God, how she has succeeded in her work in agriculture, and how she is a valuable resource to the Nabukalu community!

Start a Fundraiser for Murole

HopeChest’s approach to alleviating poverty is asset-based, because we believe that in every place on earth there are resources, not only for surviving, but for thriving and succeeding. Local leaders tell us what they do have instead of what they don’t have, and we walk with them to see their vision for their community come to fruition through development projects.

A fundraiser for Murole CarePoint is transformational rather than transactional. It promotes empowerment rather than dependence. Your support for these projects will go a long way as, together, we invest in holistic and sustainable solutions that address the root issues of poverty.
