Oditel CarePoint is located in Soroti District, eastern Uganda, about 300 km from Kampala, the country’s capital.
Over the past 50 years, the community has been heavily affected by upheaval caused by the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA), which displaced many families and created devastating circumstances. The community is resilient and hardworking, yet faces challenges such as a high number of orphaned and vulnerable children, limited access to education, and widespread poverty.
Oditel CarePoint provides a safe and welcoming space where children and families can access programs that support education, leadership development, nutrition, health, and spiritual growth. Through these programs, children build on their strengths, families gain practical tools to thrive, and the community grows stronger.
