The animal husbandry (milk production) project is to economically empower the Gofa Sefer children’s guardians in a very organized and sustainable way so that the families generate income. The project is also part of the strategic plan of the CarePoint end goals to generate earnings opportunities to continue strengthening the CarePoint financially. The children’s guardians, those who are interested in the animal husbandry project, are to be employed and manage the project. It will be a place for experience sharing for the rest of the families who want to expand the project in the future. The project is designed to be implemented in the sheds received from the government. The additional exotic cow purchase empowers 25 guardians and provides economic self-sufficiency opportunities for the CarePoint. In general, the project creates job opportunities for the guardians, increases their household incomes, and ultimately creates income-generating opportunities for the CarePoint to help sustain itself financially.

The CarePoint started with three cows that gave birth to 2 female calves. And is now getting ready to buy a cow. The addition of one more cow will help increase the income and boost the ability of the guardians to produce more milk.
